HTC phones are going really well! A news report has revealed that the company has tripled it's profits in the first quarter. Yes, HTC is rejoicing, while its competitor's have been given some food for thought. One of the main reason for this tripled profits is the smart OS- Android , which the company has adopted like a beautiful new baby!
Coming to the numbers, HTC pocketed nothing less than $517 million, with a healthy margin cover of 15.8%. That's not all, the mobile manufacturer also sold close to 9.7 million handsets. Which amounts to a 6% quarterly increase.
Now, its pretty obvious that the company officials are happy about it. I mean, who doesn't like money?This pride and sense of achievement was evident in the statement issued by HTC- "HTC’s strong brand recognition and product innovation drive better-than-expected 1Q momentum.” While some might blame the Taiwanese for the largely identical designs, they have managed to create an easily-recognizable lineup of products. One that says HTC from the get-go with its premium and uniform solid design and HTC Sense UI."
