HTC Desire HD to be updated with Android 2.3 Gingerbread


HTC Desire HD originally works on Android 2.2 Froyo OS. To make the handset more effective, the company has decided to update the OS with Android 2.3 Ginger Bread. Vodafone is the first network provider of the UK market to deliver the new version of the OS over-the-air. With this update, all the apps including social networking will be much faster, like it is in most of the HTC Phones.

Other network providers are also in the move towards delivering the Ginger Bread OS to update the existing Froyo OS. Once the OS is updated, it would be notified to the user.
